Tips

Before spraying, wash the skirt (maximum 20 % synthetic fibre content) without fabric conditioner to remove any finishes. Leave to dry and iron flat.
Cover the worktop generously with plastic film.
Shake the Fashion Shimmer paints before spraying to distribute the shimmering particles evenly throughout the bottle.
Place a piece of paper or cardboard between the fabric layers to prevent the paint from seeping through to the back of the jeans skirt.

How it is done:

This tracing or masking technique is a simple method for creating stripes or graphic patterns. Place cardboard on the fabric as required to create your design and leave the area to be sprayed blank. Use Lilac Fashion Shimmer to spray the first stripe. Repeat this technique as often as you wish. Our skirt has three stripes sprayed on it in Lilac Shimmer, Apricot Shimmer and Aquamarine Shimmer. Allow the paint to dry or use a hair-dryer.
To fix: either iron the front of the kaftan through a thin cloth or a sheet of baking paper for 3 minutes on a non-steam cotton setting or fix in a pre-heated oven for 8 minutes at 150 °C. Check the heat resistance of the fabric first. The fabric can then be washed at up to 40 °C. Wash and iron inside out.
