Sophisticated – Elegant 70’s Style Coat

How it is done:

• Wash the coat without fabric conditioner before spraying to completely remove any finish residues. Then leave to dry and iron flat. Cover the worktop generously with plastic film or paper.
• Spray the right-hand side of the coat first. Lay the fabric flat on the covered table. Choose various Marabu Silhouette Stencils (Wheel of Flowers, Fantasy Ornament) as the design is to be created not only on the side but also on the hem at the back. Spray it with Stencil Adhesive Spray and leave to dry briefly. Position the designs on the fabric.
• Spray the right-hand side of the coat first. Lay the fabric flat on the covered table. Choose various Marabu Silhouette Stencils (Wheel of Flowers, Fantasy Ornament) as the design is to be created not only on the side but also on the hem at the back. Spray it with Stencil Adhesive Spray and leave to dry briefly. Position the designs on the fabric.
• Then spray more intensively from the hem with the darker shade in Petrol (closer spraying distance) and allow to fade softly up to the middle. This creates a grey colour transition from dark to light.
• Dab off the thin paint with a paper towel before removing the individual Silhouette Stencils from the coat. This prevents the paint dripping onto the coat when removing the stencil and causing unwanted colour stains. Clean the stencils immediately under cold water so that they can be used again.
• Leave the coat to dry for approx. 2 hours and proceed in the same way on the left-hand side.
• Once you have finished designing the second half of the coat and it has dried, you can decorate the visible button placket as desired with the Marabu Fashion Liner in Shimmer Gold.
• Leave the Fashion Liner paint application to dry for approx. 6 hours and then fix: either iron from the front through a thin cloth or a sheet of baking paper for 3 minutes at a cotton setting without steam or fix in a pre-heated oven for 8 minutes at 150°C. Check the heat resistance of the fabric first. Then the textile will be washable up to 40 °C.
