Summery Denim Dress with Butterflies

This pretty denim dress is a real favourite. In warm summer months people like to wear lightweight clothing and this dress has been given a few splashes of colour with Marabu Fashion Spray in the trend colours Petrol and Plum in anticipation of hot summer days. The stencil with butterfly designs is a perfect match. The design remains subtle and tone-in-tone on the denim fabric. The sleeveless dress is simply great for the summer!

Denim dress (up to 20% synthetic fibres)

Plastic film/paper (to cover the worktop)

How it is done:

Wash the dress without fabric conditioner before painting to completely remove all residue of finishes. Then leave to dry and iron flat. Now place a piece of cardboard inside the dress to prevent the paint from seeping through to the back.
Spray the stencil with Stencil Adhesive Spray and leave to dry briefly. Position the stencil design on the fabric.
Spray the dress with the Fashion Spray in Petrol and Plum. The more colour you use, the more intensive the final colour.
Carefully remove the stencil and immediately rinse under cold water. This means that the stencil can be used again.
Then repeatedly stencil the design or parts of the design onto the dress.
Fixing: Iron the sprayed section inside out from the front through a thin cloth or a sheet of baking paper for 3 minutes at a cotton setting or fix in a pre-heated oven for 8 minutes at 150°C. Check the heat resistance of the fabric first. Then the textile will be washable up to 40°C.
