Marabu Fashion-Liner

Instructions for use:

1. Wash out finishes and fabric conditioners from the textile before painting.

2. Lightly press the liner into the fabric.

3. Then fix: in a preheated oven (8 min./150°C) or iron through a cloth at cotton setting (3 min./30 x 30 cm). Now the paint is perfectly washable at 40°C. Always wash and iron painted textiles from reverse.

4. Use the paint tips on the Fashion Liner for particularly fine lines.

Pluster /Glitter / Dot / Pearl Pens on fabric?

The Pluster/Glitter/Dot/Pearl Pens are suitable for use on cotton and mixed fabrics with up to 20% man-made fibres. Stretchy fabrics with elastane, very coarse fabrics or long fibre fabrics such as terry or velour are less suitable. On these, the Pluster/Glitter/Dot/Pearl Pens might not be able to bond with the fibre sufficiently which could result in reduced permanence. Fabrics which cannot be ironed at cotton setting (150°C or 3 dots) are also not suitable.Removing finishes/pre-washing textiles

Before painting, new textiles have to be washed at least once without fabric conditioners. Fabric finishes and conditioners prevent the fibre from absorbing the paint. Colour fastness after fixing cannot be guaranteed in this case.Removing/washing out stains

Remove any stains from Pluster or Glitter Pen on clothes, floors etc. with lukewarm water and soap immediately.Double-layer textiles

When painting double-layer textiles (T-shirts or pillow cases), always place a piece of cardboard between the fabric layers to prevent the paint from seeping through. This also makes painting on fabric easier, particularly for children.Suitable textiles

Marabu textile paints can be used to paint on all textiles (free from finishes and detergents) made of cotton, linen, jute, silk, and mixed fabrics up to max. 20 % man-made fibres. Do not use on knitware as this cannot be fixed to be washable.Painting on textiles

When painting, ensure to achieve sufficient contact with the textile. Simply dropping the paint onto the textile does not achieve sufficient contact with the fibre and it would not be ensured that the textile is washable after fixing.Painting with paint tips on Marabu Liners

Use our metal Marabu paint tips for very fine lines and embellishments. Simply screw onto the plastic tip of the Liner. Exception: Due to the size of the glitter particles, the smallest size (0.3 mm) is not suitable for use with the Glitter Liner.Caring for painted textiles and silk

Never iron painted areas directly, always place a thin cotton cloth between fabric and iron.Washing painted textiles

Always wash painted textiles inside out and use a mild detergent. Never place a hot iron directly on the painted area. Iron either from the reverse or through a cloth.Painting T-shirts

When painting T-shirts, simply slide a piece of cardboard underneath the fabric to prevent the paint from seeping through the layers.

Combine Fashion Liner with Fashion Spray

Use the Fashion Liner to create highlights with great shimmer effects. After drying, fix according to the instructions.

Are the Marabu Glitter Pens and Pluster Pens suitable for painting on any fabric?

No. The Glitter Pens and Pluster Pens are primarily suitable for painting on cotton and mixed fabrics with up to 20% man-made fibres. Stretchy fabrics with elastane, very coarse fabrics or long fibre fabrics such as terry or velour are less suitable.
