HOW IT WORKS:

1. Print or copy the mirror image of the motif with a laser printer.

2. Cut out the motif with a 1-2 cm border all round. This makes it easier to position and attach the motif to the fabric.

3. Place the motif with the printed side facing down at the required place on the fabric and secure well with masking tape. Apply TEXTIL TRANSFER to the back of the design to dissolve the ink. Place the brush outside the motif to prevent it from slipping.

4. Using a corner of the squeegee, transfer the entire motif to the fabric with even strokes. Don’t wait too long for this step; the paper should still be saturated and not allowed to dry again.

5. Carefully remove the paper and masking tape and allow the fabric to dry. Use a brush to apply TEXTIL TRANSFER evenly to the transferred motif. For clean results, seal only the design itself and not the surrounding fabric.

Removing finishes/pre-washing textiles

Before painting, new textiles have to be washed at least once without fabric conditioners. Fabric finishes and conditioners prevent the fibre from absorbing the paint. Colour fastness after fixing cannot be guaranteed in this case.Caring for painted textiles and silk

Never iron painted areas directly, always place a thin cotton cloth between fabric and iron.Washing painted textiles

Always wash painted textiles inside out and use a mild detergent. Never place a hot iron directly on the painted area. Iron either from the reverse or through a cloth.

Paper printouts for textile Transfer

The fresher the laser printout, the better the transfer works. For black motifs, always use the printer‘s black and white setting. With coloured motifs, a slightly yellowish discolouration of the motif may sometimes occur during transfer. This is partly dependent on the fabric used or may occur if too much transfer medium has been applied. Therefore, we always recommend testing first in the case of colour motifs. The stretchier the fabric, the more easily the motif can slip. Transfer to non-stretch materials is easier.

Work preparation textile Transfer
Cover the work area thoroughly.
Place paper or fi lm between the layers of fabric.
The best results are achieved on 100% cotton.
The fabric needs to be free of any finishes and conditioners.
Wash the fabric before use.
Clean work tools immediately after use.
Wash and iron printed fabrics inside out.

Textile transfer: double-sided textiles

When painting double-sided textiles (T-shirt or cushion cover) always place a piece of cardboard between the textile layers so that the ink transfer cannot bleed through.

Textile transfer on T-shirts

When painting T-shirts, simply slide a piece of cardboard under the fabric so that the colour transfer cannot bleed through.
