1859<\/span>
\n<\/strong>Albert Martz opens his paint and material goods shop\u00a0in Stuttgart.<\/p>\n

1870<\/span>
\n<\/strong>Martz starts with the manufacture of water\u00a0colour paints. The first geometrical instruments lay\u00a0the foundation stone for drawing equipment.

1909<\/strong><\/span>
\nMartz becomes Marabu. The trademark is\u00a0registered with the Imperial Patent Office.<\/p>\n

1939<\/strong><\/span>
\nMarabu produces the first water colour paint\u00a0box. With that Marabu establishes the start of an\u00a0educational range for school.<\/p>\n

1952<\/strong><\/span>
\nMarabu presents the first screen printing\u00a0ink of its own, Marapid, that was developed\u00a0in its own laboratory.<\/p>\n

1959<\/strong><\/span>
\nIn the 100th year of the company\u2019s history Marabu launches\u00a0the flexible mounting gum Fixogum – an innovation that develops\u00a0into a real classic top seller.<\/p>\n

1971<\/strong><\/span>
\nMarabu enters the segment of hobby\u00a0and leisure that in the long term will gain\u00a0great importance for the company.<\/p>\n

1995<\/strong><\/span>
\nMarabu has been certified according to ISO 9001 since\u00a01995 and according to ISO 14001 since 2003. Marabu has
\nbeen committed to the Responsible-Care\u00ae Initiative since 1998.\u00a0In 2011 Marabu receives the SGIA Sustainability Award.<\/p>\n
