String of lights from egg cartons with Marabu GREEN alkyd paint
This colourful string of lights creates a lovely atmosphere and is a quick homemade decoration. And who knew it was made from old egg cartons!

Tips and Tricks
- Apply several coats of GREEN Alkyd Paint to achieve an opaque color. Always allow for a short drying phase between color applications.
How it is done:
- Cut out the middle cones from the egg cartons. Cut their four sides into curves so that they look like petals.
- Paint the egg carton flowers inside and out with GREEN alkyd paint in various colors and allow to dry thoroughly.
- At the top of the dried flowers, with the help of scissors, poke a small hole. The hole should be large enough for one LED of the light chain to fit through. Below the LED, bend the two pieces of wire into a ring so that the LED can no longer slip through the hole in the flower.
