Tips and Tricks

  • A final coat of clear varnish will protect the surface from the elements and make it dirt-repellent.

How it is done:

  • Cover the work area and arrange the materials.
  • Mark the locations of the components for the feeding station on the wood.
  • Cut out the components.
  • Sand down the edges of the components.
  • First, assemble the components. Then, glue them together and secure them with screws.
  • Allow the glued joints to dry.
  • Once dry, coat the feeding station with Marabu DO IT Craft Paint. Then, allow it to dry thoroughly.
  • To improve weather resistance, coat the feeding station with Marabu Aqua Silk-Matt Varnish. Allow the varnish to dry completely.
  • Fill the bottle and place it upside down in the station. Secure the bottle with wire.
