Tips and Tricks

Wash washable textiles without fabric softener before designing so that they are free of finishes. This means that after designing with Marabu Sock Stop, they can be washed at up to 40° C.

How it is done:

If possible, wash the carpet before painting. In the best case, the carpet should be free of finishes and fabric softener. In any case, the surface to be designed must be clean and dry so that the paint can adhere optimally.
First, tape an even grid on the underside of the carpet in the form of several equally wide strips.
First shake the Sock Stop paint for about 30 seconds and test it on some cardboard or paper. Then apply individual V-lines one after the other to the first web. Here it can help to first draw the 3 corner points of the shapes as small dots and then connect the dots with straight lines.
In this way, all the lanes are filled with the shapes, with the shapes in adjacent lanes facing in opposite directions. At the end of each lane, the remaining space is filled with small dots lying on top of each other. Then leave to dry.
