Tips and Tricks

  • Always allow the wood glue to dry thoroughly between working steps.

How it is done:

  • First, cover the work area and prepare the required materials. If necessary, sand the wooden blocks a little and thoroughly remove the sanding dust. Then glue together 3 blocks at a time, overlapping with wood glue. These are the side parts for the little trees.
  • For the bottom parts, 3 wooden beads are then glued to a single block, each on the short edges, with wood glue. The wooden beads should have a similar height as the blocks.
  • In the next step, spread some wood glue on the beads of the bottom part and place the two side parts at an angle. Finally, connect the side parts with 3 more beads and wood glue at the top.
  • Once the glue has dried, the block trees can be colored with the do it spray paint. To do this, first cover the work area well and also sufficiently protect the work environment from the spray mist of the paint. It is best to spray outside or provide sufficient ventilation.
  • Carefully pull the spray heads off the cans and remove the red safety valve. Replace the spray heads and caps and shake the cans for 2-3 minutes. Spray with the cans first on newspaper to check that there are no solids in the spray head.
  • Now the trees can be sprayed opaque. It is best to do this in several spraying cycles and from different directions. Always allow some drying time between spraying and shake the cans again. Finally, let the paint dry well and decorate the trees.
