Tips and Tricks

Of course, Marabu Sock Stop can also be used to paint textiles. The textiles should be free of finishes and fabric softener and have a maximum synthetic fibre content of 20%. The paint is not only suitable for socks but also for home textiles such as placemats, carpets and bath mats.

How it is done:

Clean the hangers before painting. They should be clean and dry so that the paint can adhere best.
Then shake the Sock Stop bottle vigorously for at least 30 seconds and apply first to a kitchen towel.
In the first step, one of the colours is used to create a pattern of individual short strokes on the front of the hanger. The strokes should not be too close together to leave enough space for the other colours.
Then apply a line pattern with the other two colours one after the other to create an even confetti pattern. Then leave to dry lying down.
In the same way, paint the back and the top of the hanger with a confetti pattern. Finally, allow the painting to dry through for approx. 24 hours.
