Mini vase with Marabu Aqua Color

This pretty vase is ideal for the first blossoms of the season. The pastel watercolour effect is created by using the Marabu Aqua Colour Graphix colours and lots of water. If the dodecahedron does not stick together, you can also send it to the recipient in an envelope with your best wishes. The recipient can then easily put together the vase at home in just a few steps. The highly pigmented watercolour paint flows in soft transitions and is best used on a watercolour pad.

IT’S EASY WHEN YOU KNOW HOW!

  • Copy the template at four times its original size.

How it is done:

  • Firstly, a piece of watercolour paper is coloured using a spring-like colour combination. In order to do so, apply both Aqua Colours to the paper using lots of water and let the colours run together. If you put on too much paint, you can simply remove the excess using a piece of kitchen roll.
  • When the paint has dried, cut out the template and transfer it onto the watercolour paper using a pencil. You do not need to draw all the lines, but the most important ones are the outer lines and the tabs, which will later be used for gluing The template can be cut out precisely using a cutter and a cutting ruler.
  • Prepare the polygon by making folds along the individual fold marks. The shape can then be held in place using a glue stick and, if necessary, with adhesive tape for support. Then, a small glass container with water inside is placed inside the dodecahedron and that’s it!
