Tips and Tricks
- Marabu Sock Stop can be used to paint all finish- and fabric softener-free textiles up to a maximum of 20% synthetic fibre content. The paint is not only suitable for socks, but also for home textiles such as placemats, carpets and bath mats.
How it is done:
- Before painting, wash the socks without fabric softener to remove any finishes. Allow to dry and iron smooth if necessary.
- Cut a piece of cardboard into the shape of the foot or the size of the sole of the foot. Push the shape into the socks. This gives the area to be painted more support and the paint cannot press through to the other side.
- Shake the bottle for at least 30 seconds. Then test paint the Sock Stop colour on a kitchen towel first.
- Then paint the fruits on the socks with your favourite colours. Apply the paint generously. Then leave the paint to dry for a short time lying down.
- Next, apply small details such as dots or faces.
- Finally, leave the socks to dry lying down. Preferably for 24 hours. Afterwards, the socks can be washed inside out up to 40°C.
