Spooky Halloween lanterns with Marabu fun&fancy Window Color

Ghoulish, cheeky or funny – anything is permitted on Halloween. The main thing is that it is well visible in the dark. The preserving jars are turned into Halloween lights with ghostly faces using the transparent glass paint Marabu Glas in orange and a Window Color Liner. Every child knows that there is something sweet to be had here as well!

Tips and Tricks

Depending on the thickness of the application, you can achieve delicate to strong color tones with Marabu GLAS. The combination of bright colors and elegant transparency makes for great plays of color and light.

How it is done:

First of all, remove any labels from the jars (best soak them in water with washing-up liquid), rinse them and dry well.
Use the bristle brush to apply the glass paint evenly to the inside of the glass. Let it dry quickly, then apply a second layer. Allow everything to dry thoroughly.
Make up funny Halloween faces and sketch them out on a piece of paper. Cut out the template, place inside the jar, fix with adhesive tape and paint the outline on the outside of the jar using Window Color. Let it dry; and if you don’t like an outline at a later stage, you can easily peel it off again.
Now fill in the faces with the window paint. Let them dry and light the candles – your very own individual, scarily beautiful Halloween decoration is complete!
