thin cotton cloth
iron

IT’S EASY WHEN YOU KNOW HOW!

  • You can also apply the paint using a roller. The best way to do this is to apply the paint to a smooth surface (e.g. paper plate), run the roller over this and then roll onto the jeans. This allows you to paint a large area evenly.

How it is done:

  • Before painting the jeans, wash them without using any fabric softener to ensure no residues of finish are left on the fabric.
  • Then tape off the areas that you wish to paint and smooth the edges of the masking tape onto the jeans firmly. Slide a piece of cardboard between the layers of the legs of the jeans.
  • Now apply the neon paint using the brush. Ensure that no paint runs underneath the masking tape. The best way to do this is to add the paint to the jeans starting from the masking tape and moving to the inside and not towards the masking tape.
  • Then, apply the pastel paint.
  • Once the paint has dried (after about 60 minutes), the jeans can be ironed to set the paint. You can achieve the best results by ironing the front, placing the design under a thin cotton cloth to do so: 3 minutes for each 30 x 30 cm area on a cotton temperature setting without steam. Then the jeans are machine-washable at up to 40 °C.
