IT’S EASY WHEN YOU KNOW HOW!

  • Do you want to add a monogram to a piece of clothing or another item? Then we would recommend setting the Textile Painter and Textil Aquarelle. The best way to do this is in the oven at 150 °C for 8 minutes or using the iron on a cotton temperature setting for 3 minutes. After you have set the paint, the monogram will be washable at up to 40 °C.

How it is done:

  • Create a template on a piece of paper or print out a template. Use some adhesive tape to secure the template to the reverse side of the fabric.
  • Now trace over the letters and the outlines of the floral elements using the Textil Painters.
  • Leave the paint to dry thoroughly before continuing. Remove the template from the reverse side of the fabric and place a sheet underneath for the next step.
  • Add a small amount of water to the inside of the flowers and leaves using a brush. Then apply the watercolour paint to the areas where you have added water. If you add lots of water to the watercolour paints, the colour result is more transparent. If only a small amount of water is added, the colour result is more intense.
  • Once the paint has dried, you can stretch the fabric into an embroidery frame and cut off the excess fabric using fabric scissors.
