Tip

  • Please make sure that the fabric does not contain more than 20% synthetic fibres, otherwise the paint cannot be fixed.

How it is done:

  • Preparation: Wash the textiles without fabric conditioner before painting to completely remove all residue of finishes. Then leave to dry. Prepare all materials.
  • Cover the worktop generously with plastic film and place a piece of cardboard inside the top. This prevents the paint from seeping through to the back.
  • Secure the T-shirt to the worktop with tape so that it is taut. Then stick the desired pattern with masking tape or mask with cardboard. These areas are left out when the paint is applied.
  • You can now start spraying. Briefly shake the Marabu Fashion Spray and spray 2-3 times on a neutral surface. You can work with one or several colours, either wet on wet or after a brief drying period, depending on the desired effect. The closer you spray the fabric, the more saturated the paint application. It is best to work from light to dark.
  • Dry the paint briefly with a hair-dryer.
  • Parts of the masking tape can then simply be removed. The areas free from any colour may then be sprayed with another paint depending on your requirements.
  • Place the Silhouette Stencil in the desired position and spray. Then carefully remove the stencil and pull off the remaining masking tape. Dry the paint briefly again with a hair-dryer.
  • To create pretty highlights on the T-shirt, simply paint a line pattern or subtle embellishments using Marabu Fashion Liner.
  • Leave the finished T-shirt to dry for approximately 6 hours before fixing depending on the paint application. Fix the T-shirt with an iron to make it washable up to 40 °C. Simply iron through a thin cloth for 3 minutes over a surface of 30 x 30 cm at a cotton setting without steam. Alternatively, fix in a pre-heated oven at 150 °C for approx. 8 minutes.
  • Your T-shirt for the summer is finished!
