Tips and Tricks

  • The rubbery colour formula of Marabu Sock Stop has been specially developed to create a slip-resistant effect on smooth surfaces.

How it is done:

  • Before painting, wash the socks without fabric softener to remove any finishes. Allow to dry.
  • First create a template from the cardboard in the form of an elongated strip with a rounded end, which is pushed into the sock. The strip should be as wide as the sock itself.
  • Shake the bottle for at least 30 seconds. Then test paint the Sock Stop colour on a kitchen towel first.
  • Then apply a pattern of dots to the underside of the sock with the first colour. The dots should not be too close together to leave enough space for the other colours.
  • Gradually apply more shades in this way to create an even pattern.
  • Let the socks dry lying down after designing. Preferably for 24 hours. Afterwards, the socks can be washed inside out up to 40° C with mild detergent. Do not tumble dry or iron.
