Tips and Tricks

  • Wear old clothes or a painting smock while designing. Unwanted stains are difficult to remove.
  • All colors can be mixed together. This makes the jellyfish even more colorful!

How it is done:

  • Wash the T-shirt without fabric softener to remove the finish before designing it. Then, dry and iron it.
  • Gather all the necessary materials and cover the work area. First, prepare the template. Draw a circle on a piece of cardboard in the desired size to do this. Then, cut it out with scissors.
  • Cut the clean potatoes into quarters and apply KiDS T-shirt paint to a waterproof surface.
  • Place a piece of cardboard inside the T-shirt to prevent the paint from bleeding through to the back. Place the template on the shirt and secure it with tape. Paint the printing surface of the potato with Marabu T-shirt paint, then press the potato onto the shirt. Repeat as desired.
  • Allow the T-shirt to dry. Then, use the KiDS textile markers to draw the jellyfish's tentacles in bright colors. Remove the template and let the colors dry completely.
  • After drying, iron the shirt from the front through a thin cloth at the cotton setting for three minutes (without steam), or heat it in the oven at 150°C for eight minutes. The shirt can then be washed at temperatures up to 60°C.
