DO NOT PAINT CUTTING SURFACES OR GLASS RIMS

  • Cutlery can rub off or damage the design. Marabu porcelain and glass paints are intended for decorative purposes only and should not come into direct contact with any food items. We therefore recommend that when creating your tableware designs, you do not paint on cutting areas, inner surfaces or glass rims.

How it is done:

  • Before painting, your porcelain must be free from any grease. The best way to clean it is with a small sponge and hand-wash/cream cleanser, then rub off any finger prints with Marabu Cleaner or white spirit.
  • Do not touch the cleaned painting surface with your hands. Fingerprints can prevent the paint from adhering properly.
  • Paint the outlines of the anmials and let them dry. Then paint the motif with the chosen colours.
  • Providing the paint is not completely dry, it is still possible to correct any mistakes or to completely remove the paint with either a cloth or a cotton bud and Marabu Cleaner or white spirit.
  • Leave to dry for 4 hours.
  • Then fire in the oven for 30 minutes at 160°C (do not preheat). Leave to cool down in the oven. Painted tableware should be washed at max. 50°C on a glasses/cups cycle.
