Design your own cork pinboard using Marabu DO IT Craft Paint

Not only is a small pinboard practical, it also makes a real statement in your living room or office. Using corks, felt and paint, you can make stylish and functional wall decorations for displaying notes, photos and small mementos.

bottle cork

thick cotton cord

hot glue

How it is done:

Cover the work area and arrange all the necessary materials
Glue the hexagonal corks together.
Begin in the centre of the felt sheet.
Work in rounds to create a uniform shape. Ensure the corks are positioned close together to create a stable, even surface.
Once all the corks are in place, use scissors to trim off any excess felt along the edges. This will give a clean finish and prevent uneven edges.
Now, use hot glue to attach the thick cotton cord to the outer edge of the corks. Continue wrapping the cord in several rows until the entire edge is covered.
In the final round, leave a 40 cm piece of rope as a hanger and skip two sides of the hexagon, then continue gluing. Finally, fill the remaining space with a short piece of rope.
Now you can decorate the pinboard however you like using DO IT Craft Paint! Create geometric designs or random splashes of colour. Leave everything to dry thoroughly, then hang it up.
