How it is done:

  • Cover the work area and prepare the materials. First mask off the edge of the canvas with masking tape to create a white frame for the motif. The distances to the edge at the top and bottom should be slightly larger than the distances to the sides.
  • For the primer, now mix a soft blue-gray in a container (e.g. an empty yogurt pot) from Acrylic Color in Cyan, Black, and White. Then apply the color to the canvas with a wide, soft brush. Then carefully peel off the painter's masking tape and allow the primer to dry thoroughly.
  • The next step is to first thinly sketch the outlines of the floral elements such as leaves, fruits and flowers with a soft pencil. Then color the elements with the Acrylic Color paints and a fine, thin brush. Here again, the colors can be mixed with each other to obtain color nuances.
  • Once the colors have dried, the lettering is best drawn on with a pencil and then painted on with the YONO marker. To do this, first shake the YONO marker with the cap closed for 60 seconds. The mixing ball in the marker makes a clicking sound. Slowly press the tip in several times on a piece of test paper until ink is visible. When the ink flow is activated, the tip slowly fills up. When the tip is full of ink, write on the marker on the test paper. Then design the pre-drawn lettering with the YONO markers. Allow everything to dry well and decorate.
