Rocket chest of drawers with Marabu Glow in the dark

Even small astronauts have to keep things tidy. This is certainly easy to do with this practical rocket chest of drawers. You can also find it if the light in the children’s room is switched off because the small rockets start to glow in the dark! The water-based, fluorescent Marabu Glow in the dark paint makes it possible.

IT’S EASY WHEN YOU KNOW HOW!

  • Marabu Glow in the Dark is a water-based, fluorescent glow in the dark paint. It lights up in the dark and under UV-A light.

How it is done:

  • Firstly, use sandpaper to lightly sand the front sides of the individual drawers so that the paint will stick better at a later stage. Remove the fine sanding dust thoroughly.
  • Print off a rocket and planet template, trace the outlines on cardboard and cut them out.
  • Now use the template and a pencil to draw the individual rockets on the drawers. If necessary, also use a ruler here.
  • The Glow in the dark paint achieves its best effect on a white background. Therefore, first paint the rockets with white Marabu Decomatt Acrylic Paint and leave the paint you have applied to dry thoroughly.
  • Then apply the Marabu Glow in the dark paint in a dark colour to the white primer. You should work swiftly here as the paint dries quickly. Finally if you wish, you can complement the rocket pattern with other space elements, such as planets, stars, etc. Make sure in this case that you also first apply a white primer under the Glow in the dark paint.
