The new Marabu Sock Stop paints

For non-slip tights, socks, bath mats & co.

The new Marabu Sock Stop paint brightens up wardrobes and improves safety in homes by making slipping and sliding things of the past: the soft, rubber-like textile paint provides secure grip on smooth surfaces such as tiled, parquet or laminate flooring. Of course, the textile paint can also be used on fabric items like rugs or shower mats to help stop them from slipping. The opaque paint is suitable for adding designs to both light and dark fabrics with a maximum 20% synthetic fibre content.

There are no limits to the creative possibilities. The practical bottle makes it quick and easy to apply customised designs, patterns, names or amusing slogans. Impressive 3D effects can be created by layering up the paint. Do you think of socks as a boring gift? That might have been the case in the past but now you can design relaxing socks for yoga enthusiasts, lucky beetle socks for young trampoliners and funny statement socks for dads. Do your blouses or shirts slip off their hangers and cause chaos in your wardrobe? Or do your placemats constantly slide around? Marabu Sock Stop can provide a decorative anti-slip effect here too. 

The fabrics used should be pre-washed without fabric softener. Shake the paint vigorously for 30 seconds before use and apply to some kitchen paper first. Place a foot-shaped piece of cardboard in the socks and you are ready to go. Marabu Sock Stop comes in a 90 ml bottle and is available in seven expressive colours. These are highly opaque, glossy once dry and can be mixed together.

The paint can be generously applied straight from the bottle, including in several layers for a strong 3D effect. Designs can be created freehand or with a stencil. And best of all: the paint does not need to be cured. Depending on the size of the image, the painted fabric should be left to dry flat for about 24 hours.
