Tips and Tricks

  • Once fixed, TIE DYE INK is washable at up to 40°C. Wash and iron on the reverse side.

How it is done:

  • Wash the pants before designing them. Use a detergent without fabric softener to remove the finish.
  • Remove the pants from the washing machine while they are still damp. If they have dried, moisten the fabric on both sides with a spray bottle filled with water.
  • Next, gather the pant legs and fold them accordion-style.
  • Now, secure the individual sections of the pants with rubber bands.
  • Then, place the tied pants on a washable surface and dye both sides with TIE-DYE INK as desired.
  • Next, knead the dye into the fabric to ensure even distribution. Then, carefully unfold the pants, remove the rubber bands, and hang them up to dry.
  • After drying, set the dye by ironing through a cloth at the cotton setting. Iron each dyed area for three minutes. Alternatively, you can set the dye in a preheated oven at 150 degrees for 8 minutes.
