Marabu TIE DYE INK Set Pastell

light-colored cotton pants (max. 20% synthetic fiber content)

water atomizer

base or tray

rubber gloves

iron or oven

Tips and Tricks

Once fixed, TIE DYE INK is washable at up to 40°C. Wash and iron on the reverse side.

How it is done:

Wash the pants before designing them. Use a detergent without fabric softener to remove the finish.
Remove the pants from the washing machine while they are still damp. If they have dried, moisten the fabric on both sides with a spray bottle filled with water.
Next, gather the pant legs and fold them accordion-style.
Now, secure the individual sections of the pants with rubber bands.
Then, place the tied pants on a washable surface and dye both sides with TIE-DYE INK as desired.
Next, knead the dye into the fabric to ensure even distribution. Then, carefully unfold the pants, remove the rubber bands, and hang them up to dry.
After drying, set the dye by ironing through a cloth at the cotton setting. Iron each dyed area for three minutes. Alternatively, you can set the dye in a preheated oven at 150 degrees for 8 minutes.
