How it is done:

  • For later painting, the fabrics (cotton and mixed fabrics up to max. 20% synthetic fibre content) should be free of fabric softener and finish.
  • Transfer the pattern to paper, cut it out and place it on the doubled fabric. You need 50 x 80 cm fabric per bunny. The pattern of the fabric faces inwards. Attach the paper to the fabric with pins, mark with a pencil and cut to size, adding approx. 1 cm. Sew the bunny body together with the sewing machine, leaving an opening at the bottom. Work the arms and legs in the same way. Turn everything over.
  • Paint the cheeks, nose and mouth with the Pluster Pen in ruby red; the eyes, whiskers and claws in black and the inner parts of the ears in pink. Press the tip of the liner lightly into the fabric.
  • Allow the paint to dry for at least 6 hours. Then foam for approx. 2 minutes in a preheated oven at 150° C until the colour appears matt and relief-like (depending on the colour application).
  • Then stuff the bunny with cotton wool. Fill the bunny's tummy with a large cup of rice to make it sit better. Sew up the belly. After stuffing, sew the arms and legs to the body. Sew on the buttons and tie a bow around the neck.
