Tips and Tricks

  • The very viscous and highly pigmented ink needs a little more time to become visible in the tip, so pump it with a little more patience. Otherwise the ink shoots out of the side of the barrel because the pen has been overpumped. In such a case, wipe the pen or even clean it with water: take out the tip and rinse it, then dry it and put it back in the barrel and carefully continue with the pumping process.

How it is done:

  • Before painting, pre-clean the jug with scouring milk and a sponge. Then rub with Marabu Cleaner so that it is free of dust and grease.
  • Shake the painter vigorously with the cap closed. Pump by slowly pressing the tip several times until the ink becomes visible. Now first write on the pens on a piece of paper. Then the jug can be decorated with dots and circles as desired.
  • Then leave the painting to dry (at least 4 hours). Then place the jug in a non-preheated oven and bake the paint at 160° C for 30 minutes. Leave the jug to cool down with the oven door open. Afterwards, the painting is dishwasher safe at max. 50° C.
