Birdcage with Marabu Chalky-Chic chalky paint spray

How it is done:

• Cover the working area generously with foil. Also adequately protect the surroundings from the spray mist. It is best to spray outdoors, otherwise ensure sufficient ventilation. Then clean the cage. It must be rust-free, clean, dry and free of grease.
• Shake the Chalky-Chic tins thoroughly for 2-3 minutes. The mixing ball should be clearly audible. Spray on cardboard or newspaper in advance to test.
• Then spray the cage opaquely with the chalk spray. It is best to spray on several thin coats in a criss-cross pattern, first vertically then horizontally. Wait 2-3 minutes in between. Shake the cans again after each spray break. Allow the paint to dry thoroughly.
• Immediately after spraying, turn the spray can upside down and spray the valve empty. This prevents the valve from clogging.
• While the birdcage is drying, the flower arrangement can be made. To do this, take the sponge and cut it into the right shape with a kitchen knife so that it fits into a saucer. Then hold the sponge in the water and let it soak.
• Now cut the flowers to fit the cage, making sure the stems are of different lengths. First put the longer stemmed flowers into the damp sponge. Immediately afterwards, place the sponge together with the saucer in the cage and continue pinning from the outside. The visible sides of the sponge are hidden behind short-stemmed flowers. Make sure that there are no large gaps.
