Christmas card with Christmas trees and Marabu Alcohol Ink

Christmas trees are certainly one of the most popular motifs on Christmas cards. They are particularly impressive in Fluid Art style with alcohol ink. And the Christmas trees look even more brilliant on a plain card blank. Merry Christmas!

NOTE

  • Marabu Alcohol Ink is suitable for non-absorbent surfaces (e. g. coated special paper, glass, metal, porcelain, etc.). Please note, that Alcohol Ink is not dishwasher safe and only suitable for art objects/decorative items. It is not food-safe or saliva-proof and must not be used on cut surfaces or drinking edges.
  • Keep away from open flames (e.g. candles), as Alcohol Ink is highly flammable.

How it is done:

  • Cover the work surface and your clothing. Put on disposable gloves. Put on a protective mask and open the windows.
  • Shake the metallic Alcohol Inks until the pigments are evenly distributed (mixing ball contained). If the bottle has already been opened: place a gloved finger over the open bottle tip and shake well.
  • How to open the Alcohol Ink bottle: pull off the cap and insert a pin into the top of the bottle tip.
  • Squeeze droplets of Alcohol Ink onto the synthetic paper. Add Extender on top. The ink thins out and becomes more fluid. Small drops of the ink are enough to turn them into semi-transparent colour areas with the help of the extender. Allow different colour shades to flow into each other by tilting the paper in different directions after the ink has trickled on, thus allowing the ink to flow. Then let the ink dry well before you continue.
  • Cut out a fir tree and use it as a template to mark several trees on the paper and then cut them out.
  • Then stick the little trees onto the card with a glue stick so that they overlap slightly.
  • Use the Permanent Marker Graphix to place a Christmas greeting under the trees.
