Tips and Tricks

  • Finally, clean all the tools with water, then tightly seal the liners.

How it is done:

  • Cover the work surface with paper. Have a piece of paper from the pastel set and some kitchen towels ready to wipe the squeegee after each color.
  • For the fir trees, use acrylic paint to draw an upward-pointing triangle directly onto the paper to create a stylized fir tree shape.
  • Use the squeegee to pull the paint down evenly. This creates a semi-transparent surface.
  • Then, clean the squeegee with a paper towel.
  • Repeat the process with additional colors to create several fir trees next to each other. The shapes can overlap.
  • Once the colors have dried, use a black permanent marker to add details such as lines, patterns, and contours to bring the trees to life.
  • The Christmas trees are ready!
  • For the Christmas ornaments, use acrylic paint to make alternating colored dots in a line next to each other.
  • Use the squeegee to draw dots in a semicircle or full circle across the paper. You can do this by moving the squeegee in a circular motion or by turning the paper evenly under the squeegee. This creates colorful rings with soft color gradients.
  • Once dry, use a permanent marker to draw fine contours, such as borders, hangers, and bows, to make a Christmas bauble.
  • Then, the lettering "Frohes Fest" or "Merry Christmas" can be applied.
