To activate the valve system, shake the marker with the cap in place (the mixing balls have to be clearly audible). Then remove the cap and push down the tip down on a neutral surface a few times until the ink becomes visible. Please note: 1. The thin 0.8 mm tip only has to be pumped twice. 2. Metallic and glitter colours have to be shaken longer as the pigments are heavier. 3. How can I clean dried up Painter tips?

The tips can be taken out of the marker and rinsed and cleaned under the tap. Then let the tips dry thoroughly and place them back into the marker. Start pumping and continue painting. Never leave the markers without the cap for too long to prevent them from drying out. The markers should be stored horizontally.
